The client and the brief

The challenge
In a short-let apartment, cleaning is part of the guest experience: anything we miss, the next guest notices straight away, and it shows up in the review. MyFlat's apartments are also very different from one another.
- Tight time window: guest turnover takes place between 10 am and 3 pm.
- Peak load: on the busiest day of the season, we had to work in 30 apartments at once.
- A different rule for every apartment: each one has its own linen and set-up routine.
The solution
We organised the work not as one-off cleans but as an operating system that works the same way for the 21st clean of the month as for the 449th.
Teams by building
Each building has its own team rota, so team members know the flats and how each building runs. At the peak of the season, 12 teams worked in parallel.
Daily plan in the mobile app
Everyone receives the daily plan from the Clenux One mobile app, following the booking schedule: which apartment, by when and with what set-up.
A list, not memory
Each apartment has its own linen and set-up rules. The team works to them, so a new team member delivers the same result as someone who has been there all season.
Quality assurance
Every clean starts and ends with a timestamp, and only counts as done once the inspector has approved it. If anything is off, such as damage or something missing, we report it to the client with a photo before the next guest arrives.
A flat then it’s done, once the inspector has signed it off — not when the team leaves.

monthly cleaning from April to August
Monthly volume grew twentyfold with the same process and the same checks. The client had a single point of contact, heard about any issues before guests arrived, and guest feedback on cleanliness stayed consistently good, even at the height of the season.
What does this mean for an operator?
- One point of contact, even when we are working in seven buildings at once.
- You know about the issue before the guest does, with a photo.
- Even at the height of the season, the process stays the same; only the number of teams changes.
